X and Y are partners. Y wants to admit his son K into business. Can K become the partner of the firm? Give reason.

SOLUTION

K cannot become the partner of the firm.

Reason: According to Indian Partnership Act, 1932, a person can be admitted as a new partner only with the consent of all the existing partners unless otherwise agreed upon.
